Devices Page (Overview)

πŸ“± Devices Page Overview

The Devices page is the central hub of CellHasher Control β€” where all connected phones, tablets, or compute devices appear and can be managed in real time. Here you can monitor hardware details, manage connections, reboot or mirror devices, and perform batch operations across your entire chassis.

🧩 What You See Here

Each device card displays critical information about every connected Android device:

Field

Description

Device ID

The unique ADB identifier (serial number).

Device Name

The assigned name or nametag (editable).

Tags

Custom tags you’ve assigned, such as β€œRack A1” or β€œTesting.”

Android Version

The installed Android OS version.

Resolution

The display resolution of the device screen.

Chipset

The SoC (System on Chip) model β€” e.g., SM8475 (Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1).

CPU Architecture

Displays the core structure (e.g., 4x Cortex-A510, 3x Cortex-A710, 1x Cortex-X2).

RAM / Storage

Current device memory and internal storage capacity.

Connection Status Icons

Icons at the top of each card show connection type and strength (USB, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet).

Device Actions

Buttons below each card allow you to:

β†’ πŸŒ€ Reboot the device

β†’ πŸ–₯️ Mirror the screen via Scrcpy

β†’ πŸ”Œ Disconnect (Off) the session manually

β†’ βš™οΈ DC Mode for specific automation profiles

βš™οΈ Bulk Management Tools

At the top of the page, you’ll find a set of controls that allow you to manage multiple devices at once:

Button

Function

πŸ” Scan Ports

Scans for all connected devices (USB, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet).

πŸ”„ Refresh

Refreshes all connected devices and updates status info.

βž• Connect Device

Manually connect a specific device by ID or IP.

πŸ“€ Export CSV

Export all device data (IDs, tags, models, etc.) into a .csv file.

πŸŒ™ Sleep / Mute

Send sleep or mute commands to selected devices.

πŸ“Ά Wireless Debugging Connect

Connect devices over Wi-Fi mode using TCP/IP debugging.

🌐 LAN Connect

Switch connected devices to Ethernet (OTG) mode for remote, cable-free operation.

🧩 Collapse All / Deselect All

Simplify the view by collapsing or clearing selected devices.

πŸ”— Connection Types

Each device can connect through multiple modes, shown by the icons above the device ID. Blue or green icons represent active connections.

  • USB (Direct Connection) β€” Fastest, direct data transfer to the host PC.

  • Wi-Fi (Wireless Debugging) β€” Requires TCP/IP setup; useful for shorter distances.

  • Ethernet / OTG Mode (LAN) β€” Used for chassis clusters or remote racks.

For detailed instructions on switching between connection types, see: πŸ‘‰ CellHasher Chassis Connection Types (Ethernet / USB / Wireless)

🧭 Sorting, Searching, and Selecting

You can easily organize or manage large numbers of devices using built-in sorting and filtering:

  • Search Bar β€” Search by device name, brand, model, or ID.

  • Sort Dropdown β€” Sort devices by Android version, tag, or ID.

  • Show per page β€” Choose how many devices display per page (e.g., 10, 20, 50).

  • Select / Deselect All β€” Quickly select every visible device for group actions.

⚑ Quick Tips

  • 🧠 Connection Status Colors:

    • 🟒 Green β€” Connected and authorized.

    • πŸ”΅ Blue β€” Active USB connection.

  • πŸ“‘ Best Practice: Always ensure all devices share the same subnet if using Ethernet or Wi-Fi modes, to prevent connection drops.

  • 🧾 Device Export: CSV exports are perfect for logging hardware inventories or managing multi-rack setups.
